Right then we have arrived at roy humphrey prestige cars i parked in actually a bizarre location uh around the back i've missed a simple thing i wear to parker's confuse me but here is my range rover it's probably one of the last appearances of this car.
When it opened it's actually a very well kept secret not a secret around here i mean look at the size of the place it's absolutely bonkers and i spoke to the guys from coming down they said they're actually quite low in stock at the moment i can see loads of cars in there and there's a couple of cars i definitely want to see and one i want to take out but they are actively looking for stock so if you guys have anything you want to come out of do by all means give them a shout and get an offer on your car because they're actively looking for stock and they've definitely got the space for it so where to start i'm gonna have a little walk around actually i'm getting excited that turntable by the way it's chaos you're gonna have to hit their instagram to see that doing its party trick very nice s63 on there so pretty much all cars are catered to here on the prestige end of things you've got all manner of prestige cause there's some really interesting stuff here actually that over there shipping container mountain if you're looking for the place nearby you will not miss it not only because this place is the size of japan but there's also a shipping container mountain over there absolute chaos really cool for pictures over there anyway we've got c63s maserati cabriolet they sound amazing probably one of the best sounding cars of all time.
We've got an s7 as well very rare car the s7 you really rarely see these and that is of course the latest variant that does the party trick like the rs6 does got civic type r there i think that's about 30 33k for that something like that unbelievable piece of kit again this is a car that i'd actually like to drive at some point i'm not gonna have time to take that out today but i do like those they're a hooligan on wheels apparently these things here good things about them now this is a contender for daily and 100 would go for one of these as a daily but i just think i need an suv i need an suv i just don't think there's enough space in one of these for me for a daily driver i've got the dogs i've got rubble and nonsense they carry around the whole time with me so it would fit the bill and i love these and i've had a bentley press loan actually recently but unfortunately it's going to have to be an suv we've got a cab here as well so you've got the choice should you need a cab we've got one in here a stock at roy humphreys prestige cars we've got this murdered out s63 respondent with black wheels satin paint i think that is is that paint or a wrap let's have a look i think i kind of do you know what it's so good i actually can't tell without satin paint with a clear wrap over it or it's a satin wrap i can't tell i presume it's probably paint because it looks very very good indeed now this is where it gets interesting they've got the suvs i'm going to start over in the corner you've got a teaser of what is in stock here.
We're going to start all the way over in the corner so discovery here unbelievable cars but a little bit too sensible for me we've got a q7 as well quite sensible quite sensible but i do like these and actually um archie's dad goes rest his soul i always remember him having his sq7 and him going on and on about how unbelievable a car it was uh with his badges on the front of the car brdc badge and whatnot and him actually quoting that has the same suspension as a bentayga and if he's wrong don't have a go to him um but yeah fond memories of sq7 this is the 50 tdi quattro probably the most sensible version for a daily uh but not for me at this point in time defender the new defender i think having seen the punchy versions uh over in urban and whatnot i think i'd be tempted to go for that but as a daily that is very hard to argue with this is a variant i'd go for i would not go for the 90 as a daily i definitely go for the the 110 if they still call it the 110 i think that is the variant but they are very cool now g63 i've had two g63s before and i loved it one of the old variant and one of the new variant like this and i think they've done a subtle interior update something like that since on these as well this is a brand new one these things are so hot at the moment the market on these is red hot they're about 200 grand if not more at the moment and people can't get enough of these cars they are not range rover comfort they are not a range rover fuel consumption most of the range owners anyway but they are absolutely iconic and i wouldn't rule one of these out in my garage ever again i did love my g wagon i wouldn't mind another one but that is just sold but there'll be more coming in i'm sure here.
We've also got a range of svr a car that i actually love my brother has had pretty much exactly this car just in a different color these are belting it's very very hard to argue with a range rover svr very hard to argue with it fuel economy is not brilliant but they still sound absolutely mental there's loads little tweaks you can do some that make them sound unbelievable and this i think is just into stock so hit the website and go and check out the full details on this however i'm not here to see this i'm not here to see that i'm not here to see any of these i'm here to see this rsq8 this is literally just come in fresh off the press satin black fully loaded rs q8 now i've driven one of these in the past i've been kindly lent one by audi and i had nothing but good things to say about it i love them and i think that looks unbelievable so that rsqa is obviously powered by the four litre twin turbo v8 uh think urus think kn turbo it's basically exactly the same thing which is no bad thing and inside here then it's actually got a comfort and sound pack panoramic roof uh sound pack comes with bang olsen you've got audi puddle spotlights it's literally got absolutely everything in here an alcantara wheel carbon everywhere it's loaded absolutely loaded there's 16,000 miles on the clock so it's fresh to be honest with you and that is actually a wrap as well so underneath there there is daytona grey paintwork to be honest with you it's basically ppf so if i did grab it i'd probably leave the wrap on there.
It's got full carbon pack as well so it means you've got a carbon splitter down there and actually even the grille surround that's a huge piece of carbon on the front there as well and i don't think there's a better looking suv than this that's currently available it is chaos 23-inch wheels and around the back carbon diffuser as well and big old black exhaust pipes as well and of course as with all modern audis you get the silly light show as well which i actually happen to love i did a viral tick tock opening the rsq8 press car that i got many moons ago i literally unlocked it and it did that little dance at the back and it went viral easy peasy ladies and gentlemen that's tiktok for you so i think maybe we'll jump in and we'll go for a little spin i'll see if they let me take it out and i'll see how it fares because i'm just interested in sort of comfort and daily kind of uh daily kind of life in these cars i know it'll probably go around corners really fast and whatever and accelerate very fast i just kind of i'm quite interested in just daily usability visibility comfort you know how the tech works that kind of thing the stuff that's important on a day-to-day basis so let's jump in go for a spin right then let's fire up wonderful let's get out of here then give it a little test drive oh calm down almost then i'll try not to smash it on the way out i don't think that would go down too well.
First impressions then a nice subdued place to be startup's not too raucous it's not like the svr it's a reassuring rumble there right almost we've got the heated seat on all is good i don't think i'm going to go out that way actually go for a nice scenic tour around the front of the dealership wave at them they're really nice actually if you are passing you're in the kind of norfolk norwich area do pop in as i say actually doesn't matter these days where dealerships are everything's kind of global if someone's got the right stock it doesn't really matter with transport these days and like everyone owning a car transport business and the dealer sorting out anyway doesn't actually really matter where dealerships are so i bought cars from all over the place here we go then i'm assuming my normal range rover wafting position this is how i sit in my range over when i'm in there this is how i see it arm up on the sill arm on the armrest it's already past the first test because some cars you get in four by fours and you think i want to waft you assume the wafting position and this is up too high or it's down too low and you can't really get your get your waft on this is good poking the watch out lovely stuff adios already it's done something which i actually don't like about my range rover it's done something better it's done something my range rover doesn't do and in a good way with the range rover if you've ever driven one you'll know that there is a lag like a little surge you put your foot down and then you start moving i think it's a comfort feature it's kind of for as i say for comfort i think i think it's kind of a thing for kind of smoothness and to kind of accentuate the waft but actually what you find all the time in kind of modern driving city driving you put your foot down and you don't get that punch of power that you need instantly to get out into a tight gap or you know sometimes i feel that ranger is a little bit lazy you almost need to pre-load the throttle at junctions to know you're going to get out in a quick manner it's one thing that sometimes does annoy me and i do feel is a little bit dangerous sometimes you forget you're in that car and you give it a little tickle to get out of a junction and you just don't get enough uh and this car's just instant you're out it grabs you and it pulls you forward um so that's just a little kind of nuance there's someone that drives a ranger every day and anyone that's driven one will know that it does that wafty thing and in fact my brother on his long wheelbase actually got that mapped out of his um out of his tune out of his engine tune so it doesn't actually do that so you can do that with range rovers and people do um they map out the waft feet they map out that kind of floaty surging nonsense that they tend to do so we're at 50 miles an hour tops at the moment cruising along i'm not really shouting any more than i usually do road noise is more than bearable engine noise is more than bearable we're in comfort mode all.
The driver assistance is great nice clear dash none of it's obscured by the steering wheel um this incredible touch screen in the middle here the whole screen actually presses in so you get a very tactile uh confirmation when you press the screen that a function has been selected you've got your aircon down here it's actually the same layout as the range rover you've got your aircon and whatnot underneath here and then you've got your main screen with your apple carplay and your yada yada yada on the main screen there as well it's vagtech so it's roughly in line with what you'd find in a porsche cayenne and even the 992 turbo s it's kind of laid out the same i imagine it's the same wires the same circuitry with a slightly different display um it's very audi in here and in a good way in terms of you know the comparisons with the urus and you know would you have one of these over and above nervous i think if you look past the fact you can't tell girls you have a lamborghini and you've got an audi and you can look past the fact that it might not hold as much weight this is a better buy i think the tech's better in here i think the build quality is better i think arguably it looks better it looks less awkward um at various angles i i actually prefer it as a car the urus is a bit more raucous.
It's a bit more aggressive it's more shouty not just looks wise but also the engine tone the exhaust tone um but don't forget this car will come in at well a fairly decent mortgage deposit for a nice house cheaper than a newer is not back on the menu before you start saying tg you had one i did have an urs i just didn't use it i couldn't use it in the same way that i used my range rover i could see myself using one of these in the same way as my range rover it's a bit nice it's a bit special uh to be treating quite as badly as my range rover and i think i do need to learn to treat my daily driver with a little bit more respect than i have done that range uh that thing has just been absolutely not battered because i don't batter anything i own i've just allowed it to get very messy and i've just used it absolutely endlessly in the past week alone actually the past three and a half days i've done a thousand miles in that car and i don't have backache i've got a very bad back but i don't have backache any more than i normally do i've literally done 15 20 hours of driving over the past few days i'm not tired i'm not tired at all i get out of a journey at the end of a long journey in the range rover just feeling revitalized and actually sitting in here heated seats heated wheel ventilated seats range rover doesn't have that because i cheat down the spec.
I could see myself living quite comfortably in one of these it's good it is really good so that is a very positive experience and actually a very useful experience having just spent three hours driving this way into norfolk norwich to do some other bits to do various bits and bobs some of which you will see very soon it is literally a back-to-back test with my range rover and i'm very very impressed very impressed i've been in the car for about 20 minutes now and it's good news obviously performance-wise i'm not gonna pin it and put it in sport mode but you can put it into rs mode it makes the dash get all aggressive and angry the revs change the way they display you get a bar across the screen there you tap it again you get your stabilization control switch to sport you get a g meter on the front there you get a power meter a torque meter it all gets quite serious not sure that's 100 necessary and if i had one of these it's not something that i would probably be using on a day-to-day basis if at all i i mean you could occasionally launch it just uh just to show people who's boxed up the lights but i don't think any of those things are 100 necessary but i do miss that when i come out in the range rover i come out to the sticks i go to the cotswolds i've got some amazing roads on the way to my cottage and i do miss having something that not only can i fill it full of stuff but just have a little bit of fun out on the road and i think this thing would cross that bridge very nicely indeed and actually fuel economy on this average fuel economy on my range rover p 400 e i've been getting over its lifetime has been about 25 miles of the gallon i suspect driven nicely without using the turbos at full chat without engaging the whole engine that whole v8 i think my fuel economy will be better in this i get the impression because i don't charge my p400e all that much i get the impression that little two liter engine in it is pushing far too hard whereas this can deal with motorway speeds and just kind of merging with motorways and pulling out whatever just with a little bit more ease it just doesn't use up as much stress maybe that's psychological maybe the fuel economy will be appalling in this and maybe i won't actually be able to drive it nicely maybe i just drive it like a hooligan everywhere i don't know but for that little kind of comfort mode waft and taster of the rsq8 i'm very happy very happy indeed let's go in here try not to smash the wall down on the way back into roy humphrey prestige cars.
