Is the 2022 Infiniti QX60 a BETTER luxury SUV #AmericanSUV #QX60ULTIMATELUXURY

      Hey guys what's up it's Syed Faizan from ladies rides i'm in one of my favorite parking lot locations because guess what we have that brand that some people just simply forget about and this is one of their vehicles this is the new redesigned infiniti qx60 our particular one is the autograph all-wheel drive but before we get into this midsize luxury suv let's talk about what's going on.

            Here like i said it seems nowadays people have moved on from infinity maybe sometimes they'll see one driving down the road maybe they'll open up a magazine and see an advertisement but infiniti is doing something very similar to their parent company nissan they're going through their lineup and having a bit of a redesign and a change up not only on style but also on technology when it comes to the interior now the qx60 being a midsize that's a a very tough competition segment of the auto industry a lot of big names especially from those german euro brands but what i want to do is i want to compare this autographed version of the infiniti qx60 up against another japanese premium brand you know it as acura came about in 1986 infiniti came about in 1989. let's go ahead let's dive into this qx60 and see who is the better luxury suv for your hard earned money let's go ahead and dive into our 2022 qx60 right off the bat i love the direction that they're going in with their style especially when it comes to their headlights they did a great job with their led daytime running lamps led turn signals and of course that projector beam style led headlight now as we kind of coast down you'll notice the nice aggressive angles and a full functional corner vent this is an air curtain to help channel air up and around the wheel arches really gives it a nice modern look but also like i said kind of takes away from the previous gen that was a little bit more bulbous not very aggressive now as we come across the front we're gonna watch out for the parking blocks here so we don't fall you're gonna get that infinity badge forward-facing camera and if you look at the grill design here that's actually taken from a bunch of waves in the ocean so if you're into surfing you might like this grill because surf's up on the wave action of the black grill infinity badge across the bottom nicely stamped in i'm glad they didn't put any stick on emblems and then as we kind of back out you can see the nice width of the front end you know like i said it's a balance of making it look a little bit more aggressive without going too over the top you're going to have full functionality on the flat black portion.

               On the lower end and i'm liking the chrome accents normally i'm not a big chrome guy but just a little bit of chrome matches nicely with the chrome around the perimeter of the grille on this qx80 now if we're comparing this to the acura mdx this is definitely going to look a little bit more luxurious not so sporty i think the mdx has a sportier look than this qx860 now when we get up onto the hood notice how they take the peak from the top of the grill portion bring it into the hood and then it goes right towards the windshield this sits on the same chassis as the pathfinder but the pathfinder is a little bit more rugged this you'll notice still has some of that nice smooth curve i kind of like what they did with the hood because when you're sitting behind the wheel it gives you two nice vantage points so that when you're parking this thing you're not going to bump into the car next to you or into your garage wall now as we come around the bend what are we working with wheel and tire setup so you're going to notice on our autograph trim we have a 20-inch wheel machined aluminum metallic gunmetal gray finish nice metallic finish there if you're wondering well joe what's the size of the tire you're basically looking at 2 55 on the width and a nice meaty 50 series sidewall the wheels are a little bland to me but i think somebody that's looking for this type of suv this might hit the nail right on the head for them really nice though that they have 20 inch wheels the one thing i'm just a little concerned about and i just like rub my chin as i think here in the hot florida sun sweating all over myself why is this flat black there should be no flat black around the fender opening this should be all nicely painted to be a cohesive design that's definitely the biggest zonk on the exterior but as we kind of come out and then we come in to the side mirrors you're going to get some gloss black you'll see the led turn signals we're gonna have 360 degree cameras and then i think another thing that you'll notice taken from the nissan brand is that two-tone style so you got your blacked-out roof including your a-pillar and then really sets off nicely.

                    Against this i'm calling it like a sand metallic color it's not silver it's not like a champagne color it really has a nice kind of tinge to it now up top you're going to get gloss black roof rails match in nicely with the gloss black roof there is shiny bright metal work at the top and the bottom of the windows and that's okay because guess what it all blends in with what's happening at the front a little bit of chrome on the door handles obviously we have that keyless entry and then i think another thing that was super smart was how they put some chrome on the bottom still extension especially with the infinity name here just like up front it's kind of stamped in to the side just like a metal worker is stamping out that steel same thing with this uh design now you'll notice that the trim goes all the way into the rear quarter glass and i like the way they did this butter knife design what does that sound good right now maybe some toast maybe an english muffin with some butter but anyways back to the review I like the way they kind of flare that out just to give it a little bit of extra style and i'm so glad that they didn't bring it down i think by doing that it just makes it look a little bit more cleaner and modern with the large glass now as we swing around just like up front you're going to see some changes nice low roof spoiler that extends out nicely i like the way it's got this little dip of course you're going to have a gloss black shark fin antenna up top the other zonk is this guy here this needs to be taken off and tucked underneath here i think it would just clean up the whole rear of the vehicle but guess what the mdx i guess it's even stevens because the mdx has it as well located visibly rather than tucked in now you got your infinity badge the led lighting i do like the way they did the letters now as you come across from the lighting i like the way they did the letters with the infinity name across the back and the emblem so it's not like lexus where they switch from the emblem to the name badge now you get both just in case you're confused you're like what is that oh it's an infinity or if you don't know how to read then you can look at that and say oh it's an infinity qx60 chrome looking good and then you got your ball-wheel drive badge and then i guess we're gonna have to finish off on a zonk and the zonk isn't about the toe capability the zonk is the fake looking exhaust indentations on both sides i don't know really what is up with that but basically very confusing why they would do those indentations i know it's just aesthetically but it looks like it wants to be exhaust and i could picture exhausts in these spots so that definitely is going to be a zombie let's go ahead let's pop the hood and talk power in our qx60 all right guys we got the hood pop you do have hydraulic hood struts now what's interesting is just like the mdx you get a v6 on this infinity qx60 so what do we talk about first of all pretty decent engine cover i like the way it's got the infinity badge lets you know it's a v6 but what are we looking at power it's a 3.5 liter v6 producing 209 horsepower 270 pound-feet of torque.

                        It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission 0-60 in about 6.6 seconds quarter-mile is going to go by at 16.5 seconds and the top speed of this vehicle is governed to 120 miles per hour the great news is you could tow up to 6,000 pounds mpgs 20 in the city 25 on the highway and the vehicle with the all-wheel drive weighs in at 4,650 pounds now if you compare this to the acura mdx the acura also has a 3.5 liter v6 that puts out 290 horsepower so interesting how uh very close on the horsepower obviously very close on the displacement but why don't we go ahead since we got a v6 and the days are numbered for this engine let's go ahead let's fire it up and hear what it sounds like all right guys here we are inside this all new infiniti qx60 and i'm telling you right now if it's been a while since you've been in an infinity product period they've done some pretty amazing changes with this vehicle especially in particular now i know you're saying yourself well joe my friends you know i i hate trying to keep up with the joneses they're always buying these bmws and mercedes-benz products and stuff i really like the japanese brand of vehicles and i haven't had an infiniti since i lost my virginity back in high school how much is this qx60 because i'm really liking the changes very good question msrp for the way that this one is set up the full autograph with all-wheel drive is an msrp right around 65000. let's see what you get for the money to the door panels i love at the top you're getting that nice smooth material with the white contrast stitching and then you'll notice that near the front you do have two memory seat settings and real open pour wood as we back away from the door panel a little bit you'll notice the two-tone i'm digging it i'm not really a big tan interior kind of guy but i like the way it breaks up what could be a boring door panel we have the bose premium sound system and i like the way they put the speakers in there and then backing away you'll notice the door pocket is a pretty decent size you could easily get i would say a set of baby back ribs from chili's and a shirley temple to wash it down now.

             Going from the door panel to the dash same thing the open pore wood be careful when you're rubbing your wood not to get splinters i like the way it's got the white contrast stitching even the way they did this pattern all soft material and then getting to the infotainment side of things you get a 12.3 inch infotainment system apple carplay android auto navigation full touch screen capability let me show you some of the other features so what i'm going to do is we'll go ahead and hit back that'll bring us right back you could actually shrink the map down if you want i could pull up menu and this is where we could get different things that some of the other vehicles don't have you could have your clock you could have check out where the lowest price for fuel is and it actually tells you how far it is and all that so that really is nice to have that kind of information right at your fingertip and another thing is you could actually customize exactly how the home menu works and basically all it is is clicking and dragging the little icons and then you replace it and now you can have it set up just the way it is or you could trash what you just did select all delete boom now we're going to start with a clean i want that it's like going to the store i want that so nice the way you can customize everything and then we're right back and then the one last thing is check it out when you adjust your seats it actually shows up on the screen so it's not like a guessing game of you feeling it out on the side of the seat back up camera that's actually better resolution but could be a little bit better i do like the way it's got the trajectory and you got the 360 degree camera which is awesome coming down we have our actual volume knob you got your dual climate controls three stages of ventilated seats and you just hit the gloss black area three stages of heated seats let me know what you feel how you feel about this actual gloss black area there's also heated steering wheel of course you got wireless charging we got that new electric shifter for a 9-speed automatic your start stop button is all the way up at the top and then you do have a mode selector switch which i'll show you when you come to the business end if you don't want to touch any of this they actually give you a direct drive control knob something similar to what you would find on a bmw two cupholders they updated the key fob thank you infinity for updating a little bit remote start which is a nice touch look at the stitching one thing i want to show you though on the bottom you've got a nice large area for a murse a purse a bag a sack a satchel even like a three pound bag of Washington red delicious apples put those down there the stitching is great.

                 Soft material open the door what do we got we got felt lining you got 12 volt usbs and what's nice about the felt lining is you can put your family jewels in there and they're not going to get scratched up seats the leather look how soft this is must have been one of the softest cows ever digging what they're doing autograph on the actual back and portion of the seat the white pop uh piping the stitching and of course you're gonna get full electric assist on the side with massage seats for both passengers and i'll show you that button when you come to the business end but i really love the style and the quality of the materials and then of course to top it off you got a digital rear view mirror there's my amazon delivery showing up i just ordered it eight hours ago and here it is at our filming spot hold on don't leave we gotta hurry up and wrap this one up but you know what before i get that amazon delivery i need to show you the business and come on over let me show you all right guys business time you have two memory seat settings just like on the passenger side nice aluminum sill plate to greet you every time all of this is led lighting now you can't see it in the florida sun so you'll have to take my word for it but it lights up really nice and bright we got our seat controls well within fingertip tip reach and i like the way they put just a little bit of gloss black so that when you're touching them it feels high end there's that button for the massage seats for both passengers get that lower back all worked out all the knots i'm six feet tall I feel great sitting in here lots of head room lots of shoulder room and then the seats are really comfortable especially on the bolstering side of things it just holds you in like a mother holds their newborn baby i really like that steering wheel believe it or not you get a flat bottom steering wheel in this infiniti qx60 i do like the aluminum trim everything is flat black.

                                                  So you don't have to worry about fingerprints the only thing is i wish they would have gave me some stitching on the horn button such a simple touch would go a big way because look at the stitching around the steering wheel it's almost like an old babe ruth baseball nice quality you do have paddles on the back of the steering wheel to go up and down that nine speed automatic and you have an electric tilting and telescoping steering wheel and then i hope you like digital dashes because guess what you have a 10.8 digital display nice clear graphics really allows you to go through just about anything on the screen plus you got your modes personal no that doesn't mean that you have to get personal with somebody that's your customized settings for you sport auto and eco so if you ever want to hug a tree hug a tree and then to top it off you got snow something i'm never gonna have to worry about here in tampa florida but maybe you will but let's go ahead let's go ahead and make a snowman actually make a sand man at the beach and get into the mid-row to show off how comfortable it is hi guys mid-road time and what's nice is is that the mid-rope passengers are getting the same great interior even with the autograph name on the back of the seat here to let you know that you went to top trim autograph very special but anyways the seats they are captain's chairs you do have an armrest i'm gonna have to zonk it it's too skinny people's arms are not this skinny so i would like to see this be a little bit wider get that out of the way but let's see what we got on the backs of the seats the nice soft leather you do have a good size pocket easily get i would say probably five to six churros in there will probably work well especially those costco ones you got usbc usba and a home power source on the back of the command center plus we got three stages of heated seats no ventilated seats and in a 65000 suv it should have ventilated seats so that's a zonk but you do have full control of the ac back here which is a nice touch i got my own pocket so i could get my special churros here i am i did not shrink i'm six feet tall lots of head room we got that panoramic sunroof which is another nice touch and i like the way they put the ac vents up nice and high seats they do slide what about recline whoa look at that they do recline so that's great and if you want to free up more room they actually took a page from the acura mdx but it's a little cumbersome so what you could do is you can remove the center console which has a perfect spot for a small personal pan pizza you just slide that right in there two drinks but if you want this out you got to remove the cover so we'll get rid of that and then now you got to take it out like this and what you could do is you guys should give it to somebody as a gift so if somebody's jealous that you got a qx60 and they don't be like here here's a part of my qx60 that's how much i like you but while we go ahead let me figure out how to put this back we're going to get into the back seat the third row and see if it's humanly possible for somebody to sit back there let's go check it out guys backseat time the third row.

                                                    And uh it's looking a little tight as you can see this is one of those seats that if you have kids that you want to punish or maybe they have friends that you can't stand because they annoy the heck out of you have them sit in the third row my knees are way too high i've already had lunch i don't need to eat my knees because they're pretty much in my mouth another thing that's weird is that the material you still get leather but it doesn't match the other rows so i don't know if they ran out of certain stitching or what happened at the factory but you do get usbs they have them underneath this little rubber cover here which is nice two cup holders the good thing is is that I mean even though i'm a little hunched over my head is not touching the headliner i don't get any sunroof back here so that's another big big zonk is that i would like some of this panoramic sunroof but i do get the ac vents and you definitely want them back here because on a hot florida day it's going to get toasty back here but why don't we go ahead a little tight here but let's see how it stacks up against the mdx in the cargo area let's go check it out it's time to get in that cargo air now one thing i want to point out is that they did a great job of hiding the button to open up the hatch instead of having some kind of exterior handle area where you got to you know stick your fingers under the handle and kind of just disrupts the style so you're just going to hit right above the end rises up and then guess what you're going to be greeted to 15 cubic feet of space now if you're comparing this to the acura mdx the mdx wins it has over 18 cubic feet of space but let me show you what i do like i do like the way they give you a 12 volt that's very important when you're camping at the beach or tailgating the one thing that's a zonk is they actually have these buttons here and the buttons are not to put down any of the seats it's to electrically bring up the third row which doesn't make sense to me and i'll show you why in a second i think the most ingenious thing is first of all the lid you can actually position it any way you want and it won't fall down say you go to the beach and you don't want the kid's sandy shoes to mess up your beautiful interior put all the beach gear in here and then you can vacuum it out if you're wondering if there's a drain plug no there is not a drain plug this thing that looks like a drain plug just shows you another bolt to get to so kind of weird that they didn't make this a full where you can make it an actual cooler for the beach rather than just a place to put your sandy shoes but let me show you what it's like to put the seats down.

                     You're just going to manually pull on the back portions there to put the headrest down and now you're just going to lift up and push easy peasy to bring them back up it's actually you just go like that or you could push the button but like i said i would just pull it up because there's no reason to have an electric button i also want to have steven show you the usbs on both sides there's one here for the third row passenger right by the cup holder and there's one on the other side you got two usbs you got those cup holders for some skittles some now inlaiders and you got ac vents now let's say you're going to costco and you want to get that 50 gallon drum of sauerkraut because you're going to have a hot dog eating contest at your house for 4th of july just like they do up in coney island with nathan's hot dogs you're going to have a hot dog eating competition but you want part of the challenge to be who could also eat the most sauerkraut let me show you how you have to get the drums in here now you can put down that mid-road the big zonk is i got to come all the way over here so you got to come here fold it down but faraz will show you how that seat just folds down nice and flat i think that's the best part of the equation is how everything is nice and flat so that you could roll those 50 gallon drums easily in there with the sauerkraut of course the hot dogs and lots of buns but you know what if you're ready i'm ready i'm not gonna be eating any hot dogs but i'm ready to go on throttle so let's go to it all right guys we're inside this 2022 infiniti qx60 autograph all-wheel drive right away you're gonna notice the immediate change in the technology and the fit and finish and just the whole driving experience i'm gonna go ahead and hit that d mode so next to the shifter is a d mode selector switch we're gonna go ahead i'm gonna put that into sport and that's gonna give me a little bit more uh sensitivity to the throttle a little heavier steering and the transmission and the engine are going to behave a little bit differently but i'm digging the full digital gauge cluster getting to the 12.3 inch infotainment system is well within reach i mean it's not a challenge whatsoever and i like the way that there's buttons and knobs or you could just straight up use the touchscreen i mean that really makes it very versatile in that sense obviously on the acura mdx you have that touchpad interface that you have to use um to really navigate through things now seats are comfy they're supportive and they look really really fantastic having the digital rear view mirror just makes everything feel so well kind of thought out when it comes to the technology and that massive panoramic sunroof really allows a lot of light in when you want that light to shine in but driving down the road very tight very uh.

                  Quiet in here not a lot of wind noise not a lot of road noise which is great and uh the luxury side of things is just that much better having the nine speed automatic it feels more direct you feel more connected and even the way they did the digital dash with the graphics and everything um just it shows the thought process that went into this vehicle and i'm hoping that this is only the beginning that we're gonna see a lot of this transfer over to their other models yeah he's pulling away from the light really smooth on the torque delivery let's go ahead and go on throttle ah here we go nine speed drops down and we are off and running nice direct feel to the steering pretty good feedback especially coming from the previous generation soaks up the bumps well but it really feels like a totally different suv this qx60 compared to the previous generation and when you're comparing this to the mdx i really feel that the qx60 has the upper hand when it comes to the luxury side of things i think the mdx feels a little bit more sporty uh especially when it comes to the driving and that super handling all-wheel drive in the mdx definitely outshines the all-wheel drive system in this qx60 but it's still pretty darn good and you got that 6000 pound towing capacity which is phenomenal arthral here we go i'm telling you super nice shifts from that nine speed automatic i think that's one of my favorite things about this new qx60 and then of course the technology in here really really uh shows that they wanted to bring they wanted to bring it more they didn't just want to do a re-body or a refresh they wanted to make it truly a new experience in this vehicle but let's go ahead from a dead stop we're gonna go on throttle oh throttle here we go like i was saying before on the hood you'll notice the rounder curves allows you to have good reference points but definitely compared to the mdx not as angular and as sharp brakes feel good handling is nice very composed we're gonna go ahead and get out onto the highway and see how this qx60 cruises down the road but what's nice is you got enough power when it's merge time you just get on throttle and you merge so it's got plenty of pickup and just very very smooth linear torque delivery seats are just fantastic in here i could ride for miles and miles behind the wheel of this qx60 and i really like the grill i think that's one thing that infinity has done well in my eyes for so many years is the front end of their vehicles from the q60 to the qx60 even the qx80 the grill's got a nice shape to it the front end the lights look good and they look especially good on this new qx6 look at this qx60 handles look at this round and round and round we go and then back on throttle visibility is great especially with the digital rear view mirror but really gets up and going very quickly that's for sure getting to the infotainment there's a little bit of whitewash from the sun on the controls for the ac because as you can see this side is in the shade this side is in direct sunlight and it's a little light because of how it is put together but still really nice how you just touch whatever you need and then it makes an adjustment for you easy peasy but hopefully this has been a nice overall view of this qx60 i'm going to go ahead and wrap this one up and we'll see you back from where this one started so i'll see you next time hi guys it's been one of those days yes it's hot but you know what it's worth it to bring these vehicles to you definitely want to thank everybody over at infiniti for allowing radius rides access to this press fleet vehicle let me know what you think has infinity done enough for this qx60 what would you like to see change and is it the luxury suv that you would buy over an acura mdx put it in the comment section but if you're new to the channel you're on your way out hit that subscribe button i promise you it's worthwhile come back for more.
